Office hours: I will be holding office hours on Thursdays from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. You may also book an appointment with me by email.

Course material
The course will be divided into 4 sections, each spanning roughly a week of lecture:
Series, Power series, and Taylor's theorem (Chapter 9 in the textbook)
Vector geometry, vector functions and curves (Chapters 10 and 11)
Partial differentiation, differential calculus for vector valued functions, optimization problems (Chapters 12 and 13)
Multivariate integrals, change of variables, surface area, mass and center of mass calculations (Chapter 14)

WeBWork:There will be 4 WeBWorK assignments, due roughly each week, and each worth 5%. Six attempts will be given for each question. I may include some extra exercises and questions for review either through WeBWorK or on my website, but these will not count for credit.

Midterm Exam:A midterm will be held roughly around the end of the second week, at a time yet to be determined. More information shortly.

Final Exam: The final exam will take place on either June 3rd or June 4th, and will last 3 hours. The exact time and location will be announced shortly.

Required Readings & Materials:

Textbook: The official textbook for the class, and the one I will be following most closely, is Calculus: A complete course, 8th ed. by Robert Adams and Christopher Essex.


Method of Evaluation:

Evaluation
The final grade assigned in this class will be one of the two following schemes (whichever produces the highest mark):
Assignments 20% + Midterm 30% + Final 50% OR Assignments 20% + Midterm 15% + Final 65%
